U.K. to fund sepsis research

The U.K.'s Technology Strategy Board and the Department of Health will provide up to L7.5 million ($12.1 million) for two R&D funding competitions for research on the diagnosis, detection and management of sepsis. Up to L5 million ($8.1 million) will be made available to develop point-of-care diagnostics and up to L2.5 million ($4 million) will be made available for biomarker research.
