NICE releases final MS appraisal

The U.K.'s National Institute for Clinical Excellence (NICE) released a Final Appraisal Determination recommending that beta interferon and glatiramer not be used in the National Health Service for multiple sclerosis therapy - in line with NICE's August Provisional Appraisal Determination. The committee said the final determination does not represent NICE guidance and should not be viewed as a recommendation to practice for the NHS.

The final appraisal has been circulated to NICE consultees for appeal. The appeal period ends on Nov. 14, and appeals that are received will be heard at a Nov. 26 meeting. ...
