FDA's budget request

FDA Commissioner Jane Henney this morning presented the administration's FY 2001 budget request to the House Appropriations Committee's Subcommittee on Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration and Related Agencies.

Subcommittee members expressed satisfaction with Henney's first year on the job and did not raise objections to the administration's request for a 14.5% increase in FDA's budget to $1.39 billion. ...
