Inivata closes L31.5M round

Cancer diagnostics play Inivata Ltd. (Cambridge, U.K.) raised L31.5 million ($44.9 million) in a series A round. The company plans to accelerate clinical trials of its enhanced TAm-Seq circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) analysis technology. It also intends to commercialize its first non-invasive blood tests, with an initial focus on solid tumor diagnostics.

Existing investors Imperial Innovations Group plc (LSE:IVO), Cambridge Innovation Capital and the Johnson & Johnson Innovation-JJDC venture arm of Johnson & Johnson (NYSE:JNJ) all participated in the round. New investor Woodford Investment Management also participated via its Woodford Patient Capital Trust plc (LSE:WPCT) fund. ...
