Express Scripts outlines new programs

In a Express Scripts Holding Co. (NASDAQ:ESRX) CMO Steven Miller outlined three new efforts to help control drug costs, including treatments for diabetes and inflammatory/autoimmune diseases. The PBM is discussing the programs with clients this week at its annual Outcomes Symposium.

Under its Diabetes Care Value program, Miller said Express Scripts would partner with "preferred" retail pharmacies "that are committed to delivering high levels of care to patients with diabetes and have demonstrated a history of achieving specific quality metrics, such as improved adherence rates and A1C levels." ...
