Juno, WuXi form Chinese cell therapy newco

Juno Therapeutics Inc. (NASDAQ:JUNO) and the WuXi AppTec unit of New WuXi Life Science Ltd. (Shanghai, China) launched JW Biotechnology (Shanghai) Co. Ltd. to develop immuno-oncology cell therapies in China.

The companies said JW Biotechnology will combine Juno's expertise in chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) and T cell receptor ( TCR) technologies with WuXi Apptec's R&D and manufacturing services capabilities. The partners will share JW Biotechnology's ownership equally.
