Adaptive hires Miralles for new therapeutics division

Immunosequencing play Adaptive Biotechnologies Corp. (Seattle, Wash.) launched Adaptive Therapeutics, its new therapeutic division, and hired former Johnson & Johnson (NYSE:JNJ) executive Diego Miralles as the division's president. Miralles was global head of the pharma's Johnson & Johnson Innovation unit and founder of its JLABS incubator.

Adaptive uses high throughput sequencing and bioinformatics to profile T and B cell receptors. The company's new division will perform therapeutic discovery using high throughput validation of antigen specificity in paired T and B cell receptor chains. Adaptive also markets clinical and research-only diagnostics, including the clonoSEQ cancer diagnostic and the immunoSEQ sequencing kit. ...
