Gilead shareholders vote against price disclosure proposal

Shareholders in Gilead Sciences Inc. (NASDAQ:GILD) voted against a proposal asking the company to disclose risks related to its drug pricing strategies.

The proposal, put forth by the UAW Retiree Medical Benefits Trust, asked Gilead to disclose risks from pricing strategies "as they relate to other competitor products, patient access, research and development, and the degree to which development costs were borne by taxpayers funding government and academic research."
