GSK, European institutes form target validation center

GlaxoSmithKline plc (LSE:GSK; NYSE:GSK) partnered with two European research institutes to form the Centre for Therapeutic Target Validation (CTTV), which will use genome sequencing and big data tools to research drug targets. The new center will have up to 50 researchers from GSK, the European Bioinformatics Institute of the European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL-EBI) and the Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute.
