Court grants Icahn access to portion of Forest records

The Delaware Court of Chancery granted Carl Icahn access to only a portion of the records he requested from Forest Laboratories Inc. (NYSE:FRX). The court denied Icahn access to certain undisclosed documents, ruling that they are not essential to a proxy contest. The company said in a statement that the decision "essentially gives Mr. Icahn the documents we had previously offered him."
