Qiagen in 2 separation/purification deals

Qiagen (NMarkt:QIA; QGENF) entered into separate agreements with Pall (PLL) and Polysciences (Warrington, Penn.) to develop separation and purification products for nucleic acids, cells and proteins. QIA and PLL will combine PLL's filtration technologies with QIA's platform for nucleic acid separation and purification. QIA will have exclusive marketing rights to resulting products, and expects to launch the first products in the second quarter of 2002.
