Update on Morphosys suits

Human antibody play MorphoSys (NMarkt:MOR) said the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California in San Diego has, for lack of jurisdiction and improper venue, dismissed the lawsuit initiated by Cambridge Antibody Technology (LSE:CAT; CATG) alleging infringement of its U.S. Patent No. 6,248,516 (the Winter II patent). CAT filed the infringement suit last week alleging that MOR infringes the Winter II patent covering antibody variable domain expression libraries (see BioCentury, June 25).
