DoubleTwist annotates human genome sequence

DoubleTwist (Oakland, Calif.) said it has annotated the 80 percent of the human genome sequence that is publicly available, including identification of genes in that sequence, and will make the information available through its DoubleTwist.com internet site. The company said it has identified more than 1400 genes on chromosome 22, whereas public expressed sequence tag (EST) data has identified 545 genes.
