GZTR completes post-marketing study

Genzyme Tissue Repair (GZTR) said it completed a registry based study of its Carticel autologous cultured chondrocytes for cartilage repair. The study, which is one of three post-marketing studies required by the FDA as part of the 1997 accelerated marketing approval of Carticel, assessed the outcome of Carticel treatment in patients who had failed other cartilage repair procedures.
