Ethical's product infusion from Elan

Elan Corp. plc has a strategy of acquiring companies with late-stage or marketed products to boost sales, but it also includes the risk of biting off more than the company's sales force wants to chew, especially when acquired companies bring along a portfolio of lower-margin products.

ELN has found a way around that problem in its U.S. co-promotion deal with Ethical Holdings plc. At the same time, ETHCY sees the deal as a chance to prove the worth of its own sales force, paving the way for a deal covering more lucrative products...
