Another award winner packs bags

OXFORD - European biotech executives will probably be very wary if they hear their names being linked to the European Entrepreneur of the Year award.

Last Monday, Glen Travers, the 1996 winner of the honor awarded each spring at the European Life Sciences Conference in Amsterdam, was deposed from his job as executive chairman of Cortecs plc (LSE:CCS:DLVRY). Last month, Keith McCullagh, British Biotech plc's embattled CEO and the 1997 winner, announced he would step down from his post at the company's annual meeting in September. Louis Nisbet, the 1995 winner, stepped down as CEO of Xenova Group plc (LSE:XEN) last December...
