Chiron reaches into Glaxo for CEO

Following a search that lasted more than a year, Chiron Corp. on Sunday announced that it has appointed Sean Lance as chief executive officer, effective May 1.

Lance, once heir apparent to Sir Richard Sykes at Glaxo Wellcome Plc, will be responsible for the company's three commercial units - Chiron Diagnostics, Chiron Therapeutics and Chiron Vaccines, as well as its Chiron Technologies research unit...
