TriGenix offers a third option to the sales dilemma

TriGenix Inc. has been formed with $6 million from D. Blech & Co. Inc. to take advantage of what it sees as an up-and-coming opportunity to provide biotech companies with sales, marketing and reimbursement services.

According to Don Yarson, TriGenix president, the fully loaded cost of setting up a 25-person sales force is $8-15 million. For a company with only one or two products, the alternative to the expense and risk of forming a vertically integrated sales and reimbursement organization is licensing products to pharmaceutical companies
