Sound the trumpets. The FDA has just declared the American public mature enough to deal with home HIV testing.

The agency last week approved Confide, the first home collection HIV testing and counseling service. Confide was developed by Direct Access Diagnostics, a Johnson & Johnson company, in conjunction with Chiron Corp.
