EPA drafts new rules for microbiologics

WASHINGTON - Proposed modifications of the Toxic Substances Control Act relating to microbiological products, first discussed in 1986, finally have been drafted and submitted by the Environmental Protection Agency to the Office of Management and Budget.
OMB should complete its review of the rules by the end of July, according to Ellie Clark, senior policy analyst in the TSCA Biotech Program at the EPA. The agency will publish the proposed rules and request public comment soon after it receives OMB's comments. ...
