OXFORD - The gag order on company announcements of product review recommendations by the European Committee for Proprietary Medicinal Products is likely to be shortened from 60 days to 15 days. The European Agency for the Evaluation of Medicinal Products' management board is proposing that CPMP opinions on applications for marketing applications for medicinal products be published 15 days after the adoption of the opinion, once the right of appeal has expired. Currently, such opinions are not published until two months after adoption of the opinion. The board is scheduled to finalize its position at its Dec. 20 meeting.
