AIDS Task Force seeks biotech members

WASHINGTON - Membership on the National Task Force on AIDS Drug Development, unveiled last month by HHS Secretary Donna Shalala, is open to representatives of the biotechnology industry, said Dr. Randolph Wykoff, director of the FDA's Office of AIDS and Special Health Issues.

"I would certainly encourage the biotechnology industry and their associated professional organizations to nominate persons they would like to see on the task force by the Jan. 3 deadline," Wykoff told BioCentury.
