The university's Moores Cancer Center joined the Worldwide Innovative Networking (WIN) Consortium. The consortium, which includes academic institutions, biotech and pharma companies and patient organizations, was founded in 2010 by the Institut Gustav Roussey (Villejuif, France) and the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center (Houston, Texas) to seek ways to increase the efficacy of cancer treatments through personalized medicine.
