Truffle Capital financial update

European private equity firm Truffle Capital said it raised €50 million ($66.5 million) from retail investors in 2012, which the firm said is 25% more than it raised from retail investors in the prior year. The funds were raised through Fonds Commun de Placement dans l'Innovation (FCPI), a French scheme created in 1997 to provide tax incentives to individual investors who invest in innovative companies. Truffle invests in IT, energy and the life sciences sectors. The firm's life science portfolio includes diagnostics company Theradiag (Euronext:ALTER, Marne La Vallee, France) and autoimmune company Neovacs S.A. (Euronext:ALNEV, Paris, France). ...
