Rao resigns from NIH Center for Regenerative Medicine

Mahendra Rao, founding director of NIH's Center for Regenerative Medicine, told BioCentury he departed. Rao said he resigned "simply because the budget I had hoped to work with did not materialize." The center had a total budget of $8 million in FY14. The president requested $8 million for the center as part of his FY15 budget request. The center is managed by NIH's Common Fund. ...
