CIRM allocates $72 million, permanently adopts reforms

The California Institute for Regenerative Medicine's board approved $40 million for its Preclinical Development Award initiative to support development activities needed to gain FDA approval for stem cell therapy projects. The board also approved $32 million for its Strategic Partnership Awards initiative to support projects that can move through Phase I or II trials within three years.
