CDER's OTS to house new Office of Computational Science

Janet Woodcock, director of FDA's Center for Drug Evaluation and Research, announced several changes to the center's Office of Translational Science (OTS), including the formation of the Office of Computational Science (OCS) within OTS to "lead and manage the transformation of CDER's scientific computing abilities and operations." In an internal memo, Woodcock said OCS will improve the accessibility of data, reduce data integrity issues and support "robust data governance." Lilliam Rosario, formerly associate director in FDA's Office of Science and Innovation, will be director of the office. Woodcock said the office will also now house CDER's Computational Science Center, an initiative to provide analytical tools, processes and approaches to enable consistency in the review process. ...
