Reps. introduce bill to address injectable drug shortages

Rep. Bill Cassidy (R-La.) and a group of Republican representatives introduced the Patient Access to Drugs in Shortage Act to incentivize manufacturers of generic injectable drugs with three or fewer manufacturers to continue production. The bill, H.R. 6611, would increase the Medicare reimbursement rate for injectable drugs to the wholesale acquisition cost (WAC) from the average sales price (ASP) plus 6%. ...
