Deadline extended for insurance exchange submissions

The Obama administration extended the deadline for when states have to submit some components of plans to create health insurance exchanges under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. Previously Nov. 16 was the deadline for states to submit everything, including a declaration of the exchange model they intend to pursue and a blueprint of how the exchange will meet legal and operational requirements. For states that opt to run their own exchanges, the declaration is still due Nov. 16 but the blueprint is now due Dec. 14. For states that opt to run exchanges in partnership with the federal government, both declaration and blueprint are due on Feb. 15, 2013. ...
