Biden calls for Medicare drug price negotiations

Vice President Joe Biden called for Congress to give the federal government authority to negotiate Medicare Part D drug prices. "If they allow Medicare to bargain for the cost of drugs like Medicaid can, that would save $156 billion right off the bat," Biden said. Republican Vice Presidential candidate Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) replied that negotiating Part D prices "would deny seniors choices."
