Sanford Burnham Prebys gets $100M donation, new name

The Sanford Burnham Prebys Medical Discovery Institute (La Jolla, Calif.) received a $100 million donation from real estate developer and philanthropist Conrad Prebys. The institute also changed its name from the Sanford-Burnham Medical Research Institute.
Sanford Burnham Prebys spokesperson Patrick Bartosch told BioCentury the gift will support translational research and drug discovery in cancer, neurology, immunology and metabolic disease. ...
