Biotech indices touch new highs

Biotech stock indices brushed up against all-time highs on Tuesday, with several indices ending the day at record closes. The NASDAQ Biotechnology Index (NBI) topped out at 4,028.15 before closing at 4,011.96, while the NYSE Arca Biotechnology Index (BTK) reached 4,326.20 before closing at 4,320.38. The iShares NASDAQ Biotechnology Index ETF (NASDAQ:IBB) touched 385.02 and closed at 383.25. All three indices have gained 26% year-to-date.

The BioCentury 100 closed at 7,804.52, off 2.72 from its all-time high on Monday of 7,807.24. The index is up 30% YTD. ...
