Alder raises $80 million in IPO

Alder Biopharmaceuticals Inc. (NASDAQ:ALDR) raised $80 million in an IPO through a bumped-up number of shares below its proposed price range. The company sold 8 million shares at $10, which values Alder at $299 million. Last month, the company said it planned sell 7.2 million shares at $13-$15. Credit Suisse; Leerink; Wells Fargo; and Sanford C. Bernstein are underwriters. Alder was up $0.03 to $10.03 on its first day of trading Thursday. ...
