PTC raises $60 million in venture round

PTC Therapeutics Inc. (South Plainfield, N.J.) raised $60 million in a venture round led by new investor Brookside Capital Partners. New investors Adage Capital; Jennison Associates; Longwood Fund; and institutional investors also participated, along with existing investors Credit Suisse First Boston Equity Partners; HBM Healthcare Investments; Vulcan Capital; Celgene Corp. (NASDAQ:CELG); Delphi Ventures; Novo A/S; and The Column Group. Credit Suisse and Wedbush PacGrow were placement agents.
