SR One launches life sciences business plan competition

SR One and student-led entrepreneurial organization Oxbridge Biotech Roundtable launched the OneStart business plan competition to award L100,000 ($158,750) to life sciences entrepreneurs with "ideas for innovative technologies" and the "most commercially compelling business plan." The winner will also receive six months of free lab space at biotech incubator Stevenage Bioscience Catalyst, as well as business and IP support. According to SR One, the competition will cover drug discovery, medical devices, diagnostics and health IT. SR One is the corporate VC arm of GlaxoSmithKline plc (LSE:GSK; NYSE:GSK), which along with Roche (SIX:ROG; OTCQX:RHHBY) and Covington & Burling LLP will provide additional financial support. ...
