Teva raises $2B in note deal

Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (NASDAQ:TEVA) raised $2 billion through the sale of senior notes comprising $700 million in 2.25% notes due March 2020 and $1.3 billion in 2.95% notes due December 2022. The notes are underwritten by Barclays; Goldman; JPMorgan; and Morgan Stanley. Teva said it will use a portion of the proceeds to repay about $700 million outstanding under a term loan credit facility due in 2013 and 2014 and to redeem about $1 billion outstanding of its 1.7% senior notes due November 2014. Teva was off $0.74 to $38.10 on Friday. ...
