Forest adds Icahn nominee to board

Forest Laboratories Inc. (NYSE:FRX) named Vincent Intrieri a director as part of a deal with activist investor Carl Icahn to avoid a proxy contest for the third straight year. The addition of Intrieri, a former director of Icahn Enterprises L.P., expands Forest's board to 11 members. Intrieri will also become the fifth member of an independent committee overseeing the succession plan for President and CEO Howard Solomon, who will retire at the end of the year. ...
