Roche, Institut Pasteur Korea in infectious deal

Roche (SIX:ROG; OTCQX:RHHBY) partnered with not-for-profit Institut Pasteur Korea (Seoul, South Korea) and the institute's spin off Qurient Co. Ltd.(Seongnam-si, South Korea) to discover and develop drug candidates for infectious diseases. Under the two-year deal, the partners will collaborate on areas including assay development, compound screening and target identification. The institute will contribute its visual high throughput screening technology, while Roche will contribute undisclosed funding. The pharma's Roche R&D Center China Ltd. development organization also will contribute its scientific and drug development expertise. Qurient and Roche also "will explore" a plan to develop an undisclosed compound that Qurient exclusively licensed from the institute. ...
