Celgene seeds newco founded by Amira alums

Celgene Corp. (NASDAQ:CELG) will provide seed funding to PharmAria LLC (San Diego, Calif.), a company founded earlier this year by alumni from now-acquired inflammation company Amira Pharmaceuticals Inc. Celgene will have an option to license certain R&D programs and an option to acquire the newco, which plans to develop small molecules for cancer and fibrotic diseases.
