Key Job Objectives

The B2B Marketing Manager is responsible for planning, managing and executing all marketing and communications for BioCentury’s conferences, multimedia events and sponsorship/advertising business, in support of the Company’s financial and operational goals.

Responsibilities

The B2B Marketing Manager plans and executes marketing and communications for BioCentury’s in-person and hybrid/digital conferences, multimedia events (webcasts, podcasts, webinars) and sponsorship/advertising business. Specific responsibilities include:

Planning, scheduling and producing compelling and targeted promotional campaigns for BioCentury events to support revenue and marketing qualified lead (MQL) goals, including e-marketing, social media, videos, prospectuses, pre- and post-event communications, signage and digital assets, collaborating with Product Management & Marketing and the Creative Services departments to execute such programs within the Company’s standards for brand management.

Planning, managing and updating marketing websites, web pages and third-party systems to drive event registrations, MQLs and inquiries from prospects, including potential sponsors, presenting companies and speakers.

Developing marketing personas for BioCentury events to help target communication to key industry stakeholders, including biopharma C-suite executives and investors.

Creating, updating and tracking marketing calendars for BioCentury events, collaborating with Product Management & Marketing and the Creative Services departments; coordinating all program timelines and list usage with PM&M to achieve BioCentury marketing goals.

Collaborating with event stakeholders, including co-organizers, sponsors and speakers, to increase co-marketing and promotional support of BioCentury events.

Directing and managing third-party email and advertising trade outs to promote BioCentury events. Developing collateral sales material and sales playbooks to support the Sales team’s sponsorship and advertising goals.

Measuring, reporting and improving marketing performance KPIs during the entire event life cycle, from pre-planning to post-event communication, collaborating with Product Management & Marketing.

Ensuring compliance across all event marketing programs with relevant laws and company policies.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience marketing industry conferences and digital events to senior-level executives and investors, preferably in the biopharma or healthcare industries.
  • Demonstrated experience with digital event platforms and software, including management of event websites and registration systems.
  • Strong project management skills with the demonstrated ability to independently manage multiple projects, timelines and deadlines at once.
  • Strong copywriting skills for all forms of communication (email, web, social media, etc.).
  • Demonstrated competence with relevant business software (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, CRM systems, marketing automation systems, Content Management Systems (CMS) and similar).
  • Demonstrated competence with project management and collaborative work tools (e.g., Asana, Slack, SharePoint and similar).
  • The ability to work independently and remotely in a deadline-driven and dynamic environment.
  • The ability to work across multiple time zones with Company staff, contractors and stakeholders in the U.S., Europe and Asia.
  • The ability to travel domestically and internationally.
