Personal Chemistry: Power to the Chemists

Lead optimization and medicinal chemistry are surprisingly slow and painstaking processes. The work most often is guided by the creativity of individual chemists aided by limited informatics, databases and the available literature. Attempts to industrialize the process simply by creating and screening large numbers of molecules have been disappointing. Personal Chemistry AB has introduced instruments and methodology that it believes can help chemists by decreasing the time it takes to do chemical reactions while increasing the yield.

"We see chemistry as one of the bottlenecks in drug development, especially in lead optimization and medicinal chemistry," said CEO Hans Johansson.
