Alzheimer's company Alzheon postpones IPO

Alzheon Inc. (Framingham, Mass.) has postponed its IPO, according to a statement to BioCentury. In March, the Alzheimer's disease company had filed for a listing on NASDAQ underwritten by Citigroup, Piper Jaffray, Canaccord Genuity and JMP Securities (see BioCentury, March 23).

Alzheon said this month it hoped to sell 5 million shares at $13-$15. At the $14 midpoint, it would have raised $70 million and been valued at $211.5 million...
