Rare disease play AltiBio raises series A

Rare disease company AltiBio Inc. (Half Moon Bay, Calif.) completed on Sept. 10 an undisclosed series A round led by an undisclosed private investor.

AltiBio President & CEO Patrick Reichenberger told BioCentury most investors participating in the round were from Switzerland and were also early investors in Raptor Pharmaceutical Corp., a rare disease company where he previously led commercial operations. AltiBio Acting CMO Patrice Rioux and VP of R&D Artem Zykovich also formerly worked at Raptor: Rioux as CMO and head of regulatory affairs and Zykovich as a scientist leading genetic testing initiatives...
