AbbVie sales and marketing update

AbbVie said FDA approved a 36,000 lipase-unit dose of Creon pancrelipase delayed-release capsules to treat pancreatic exocrine insufficiency (PEI). The product comprises a combination of porcine-derived lipases, proteases and amylases. The wholesale acquisition cost of the dose is $658.48 for 100 capsules and $1,611.89 for 250 capsules. The recommended doses for daily Creon vary with individual symptoms and diet.
