Academy Medical LLC, Cardium sales and marketing update

Cardium granted Academy Medical rights to commercialize wound care product Excellagen to U.S. government medical providers, including the Veterans Administration healthcare system and military hospitals. Cardium said it does not plan to establish an internal sales force for Excellagen. In 2011, FDA approved the topical collagen-based gel matrix to manage diabetic foot ulcers and other dermal wounds.
