Activaero, Forest Laboratories sales and marketing update

Activaero and Forest's Forest Healthcare B.V. subsidiary will co-promote Activaero's Akita Jet inhalation system in Germany to treat bacterial infections in patients with cystic fibrosis. The partners plan to use the system to optimize high-dose antibiotic colistin CF treatments and reduce drug consumption. Akita Jet is a breath actuated aid which uses overpressure during inspiration to ease breathing that is approved in Europe to treat CF, severe asthma, primary ciliary dyskinesia, pulmonary hypertension and inhalant antibiotic treatment of hospital-acquired pneumonia. ...
