GlaxoSmithKline, COPD Foundation, Global Initiative for Chronic Obstructive Lung Disease (GOLD) pulmonary news

GlaxoSmithKline, GOLD and the foundation formed a new governance board to help promote and encourage uptake of the COPD Assessment Test (CAT). The partners said CAT, which was launched in 2009, is a short and simple validated tool to objectively measure the effect of COPD on a patient's life and monitor changes over time. The governance board will initially focus on promoting uptake and usage and ensuring adoption of new terms of use; developing and approving translations, which will be available online; and utilizing apps and digital applications.
