Massachusetts Life Sciences Center (MLSC) finance news

The MLSC launched the International Collaborative Industry Program (ICIP), which will award funding to projects jointly sponsored by a Massachusetts life sciences company and a company from participating regions. The regions include the state of Victoria in Australia; the Wallonia region of Belgium; the Quebec province of Canada; and the Alsace region of France. The MLSC board authorized up to $1.5 million for winning Massachusetts companies, and grants will range from $100,000-$500,000, with companies providing matching funding. Winning international partners will each be funded by an agency in their own geography. The MLSC said that eligible projects will be in late-stage R&D in the life sciences, including biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, diagnostics and bioinformatics.
