A judge ordered Illumina to pay $95.8 million in damages to Syntrix after a jury in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington found that Illumina's BeadChip arrays infringe Syntrix's U.S. Patent No. 6,951,682. The company also said it plans to continue to sell the BeadChip products and will not pay damages "until all appropriate appeals have been taken," which the company expects could take "a number of years." Syntrix could not be reached for comment. ...
