The British Medical Journal Editor-in-Chief Fiona Godlee sent a letter to Roche board member John Bell requesting the company release unpublished clinical data on the pharma's influenza drug Tamiflu oseltamivir. In the letter, Godlee requested the release of "full study reports" for the drug to physicians and scientists, as promised by the company in 2009. BMJ also launched a website dedicated to persuading Roche to release these data. Roche told BioCentury that it does not accept or agree with the content in the letter regarding its transparency. The pharma said it provided 3,200 pages of information in response to the 2009 request. The pharma said the researchers requested further data, but declined to sign a confidentiality agreement. ...
